What happens when a frog is thirsty and the water she depends on begins to disappear?

In Ana Rana is Thirsty, acclaimed Costa Rican author Anacristina Rossi introduces young readers to a challenge facing amphibians—and our planet: global warming. Through Ana Rana and her friends, the story explores a changing environment and the struggle of frogs affected by an ecological crisis.

Brought to life through the colorful illustrations of Adián González Rizo, this story blends adventure with environmental awareness while inviting children to pay attention to the natural world around them. And as the frogs search for a way forward, they turn toward an important source of hope for the future: children themselves.

A Costa Rican story that opens the door to conversations about animals, water, climate, and our responsibility for the world we share.
